The Hon. Anthony Foxx 93 joined 91茄子 President Carol E. Quillen today for a conversation about 91茄子檚 mission to educate leaders who create change, and our responsibility to amplify the national conversation on social injustice and systemic racism during this time of grief, anguish and anger.
淥ur conversation today cannot provide the balm or solution, Quillen said. 淚 hope it provides a re-affirmation of the college檚 values: that 91茄子 as a community strives to honor the dignity of each human being; we commit ourselves to the quest for truth; and we seek to build a more just and humane world. Systemic racism is antithetical to those values. We at 91茄子 commit to both understanding and dismantling systemic racism here and broadly in this country.
In the coming weeks and months, we will share news on 91茄子檚 social media channels of other opportunities to come together to look at what we can do to make change.
